We’ve been in the business long enough that we   know what to tell people when they ask about how to write a book and get it published. There are some simple steps that we can help you with. Remember, our book publishing company is there to help you every step of the way as you check these boxes off.

Develop A Great Idea

Start right from the beginning. That’s one of the first things we suggest when people ask us how to write a book and get it published.  If you’re a business or career person, we like to suggest that you do a little research into a topic that would interest your target market.

Finding the right idea is as simple as doing a little Internet research. If you have a small business, it’s a good idea to monitor the posts and tweets on social media that people in your target market are posting. That should give you a good springboard and a way to start honing some ideas.

If your little stuck at first, it’s a good idea to use the 5W’s from journalism—who, what, where, when, why and how.

Still Wondering How to Write a Book and Get it Published? Read On

If you plan on writing the book yourself, you’ll need to make sure that you put aside some writing time. It’s  especially a good idea to put together a quiet space or office where you won’t be distracted by children, pets, or other household distractions. That way, you can focus on putting your wonderful ideas onto the page in their best form.

For some people, it’s another good idea to start by writing a story summary. This is where you can put together the main events in each chapter and provide a step-by-step logical sequence of the way you want your book to go. You’ll only need three sentences for each of the chapters and you can adjust them as you mix and match different ideas.

Don’t forget that we have ghostwriters on staff who can turn any of your ideas into reality. However, if you still plan to write the manuscript yourself, there’s another way to go about it. Many writers go through a whole draft in an unstructured way and then pick out the parts they like the best.
